Community Partnerships in UNI435Y: Active Citizenship in a Canadian Context

In this fourth-year course, you will engage with interdisciplinary debates on issues such as active citizenship, and urban, cultural, environmental and global citizenships while participating in an in-depth placement with a community organization and leadership training in collaborative learning, group skills, and conflict resolution.

  • Apply your academic skills and reflect on community experience in an academic context.
  • Build transferable leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Explore potential professional pathways and build professional connections.
  • Discuss your experiences in a context that brings together different experiences with citizenship organizations and which focuses on diverse application of skills and knowledge related to Canadian Studies.
